The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bryant Anderson made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Alvin Carlton sent off a good shot on target. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trent Bourgeau made a kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sombra AFC's goalkeeper Matt Reeder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elliot Clavet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85thth minute of the game Alvin Carlton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thamesville's Bryant Anderson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Claud Godin made a precise shot to the right of Matt Reeder. Sombra AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Abel Randle came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Thamesville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Randle couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Thamesville walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
