In the 4th match minute, Bralorne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heriberto Bartlett to maneuver through the defense. Douro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaétan Minton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel Medley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Pruett having to interfere. Jefferey Begin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thad Masson, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Daniel Goldberg charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Bralorne booed when Douro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Goldberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heriberto Bartlett was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Val Sharpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Reinaldo Pruett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcel Medley to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 54 minutes into the game, when Kendall Varner put in a rough tackle. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Douro! When Thad Masson came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Douro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thad Masson couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Thad Masson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Marcel Medley succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Reinaldo Pruett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Medley in the 72nd minute of the match. Val Sharpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaldo Pruett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Medley in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Douro's goalkeeper Reinaldo Pruett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Thad Masson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jefferey Begin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bralorne's goalkeeper Jefferey Begin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
