In the 20th match minute, Douro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Goldberg to maneuver through the defense. Reinaldo Pruett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hiram Maynard, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Thad Masson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaétan Minton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Antione Laliberté tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brock Parmentier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hiram Maynard in the 29th minute of play forced Douro's goalkeeper Reinaldo Pruett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Douro's goal looked a bit too open when Hiram Maynard came free, but Reinaldo Pruett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Douro's zone, Brock Parmentier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Pruett came out of the goal and Brock Parmentier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hiram Maynard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Douro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Engineer FC were winning 0-2.

If Thad Masson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Douro's goal looked a bit too open when Brock Parmentier came free, but Reinaldo Pruett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaétan Minton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thad Masson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antione Laliberté having to interfere. When Douro's Gaétan Minton in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Engineer FC's goalie prevented a goal. Fabrice Romero's late challenge caught a Douro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrice Romero helped the player get up and apologised. 74 minutes into the game, one of Engineer FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jess Allred hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Brock Parmentier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Pruett having to interfere. Douro's Reinaldo Pruett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Douro from getting a goal against them.
