The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tribune AFC booed when Cumberland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Rojas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cumberland FC's Desmond Cox got a free kick in the 11th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Milo Horne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tribune AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milo Horne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 played minutes, Cumberland FC's Rudolph Gagnon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jerry Naquin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cumberland FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Tribune AFC's Giuseppe Simons got a free kick in the 20th minute. Desmond Cox recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Tribune AFC's Martin Sirois got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 26 played minutes Tribune AFC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Sirois. Jerry Naquin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Rojas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerry Naquin was a little too slow when Benjamin Brodeur got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. Desmond Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Naquin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 36th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rudolph Gagnon. Milo Horne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Rojas made a kick off. Jerry Naquin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Rojas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Desmond Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Naquin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Brodeur hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tribune AFC's zone, Desmond Cox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Naquin came out of the goal and Desmond Cox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerry Naquin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Rojas in the 83rd minute of the match. If Milo Horne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
