Constant Ménard hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Athalmer AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Constant Ménard came free, but Walton Deaton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Greenspond FC's Dana Orr got control of the ball when Foster Kimbrough tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nathan Parizeau kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Simon Paquette hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Foster Kimbrough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Merlin Jamison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenspond FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Merlin Jamison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dana Orr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Foster Kimbrough in the 42nd minute. Dana Orr stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renard Shook's shot from short distance in the 44th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renard Shook stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dana Orr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Foster Kimbrough in the 57th minute of play. Jeffry Quirion's late challenge caught a Athalmer AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeffry Quirion helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Greenspond FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeffry Quirion to maneuver through the defense. Renard Shook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Merlin Jamison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Merlin Jamison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walton Deaton having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Basil Gauthier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constant Ménard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walton Deaton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Foster Kimbrough in the 75th minute of play forced Greenspond FC's goalkeeper Dana Orr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constant Ménard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Athalmer AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
