After 17 played minutes Burr FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrien Talon. After a defensive mix-up in Burr FC's zone, Darryl Jenkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Gagné came out of the goal and Darryl Jenkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Ernie Pryor notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Maryfield AFC's Vincent Velazquez. Vincent Velazquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Douglas Gagné didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnoldo Santos went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ernie Pryor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Velazquez having to interfere. Charles Compton hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ernie Pryor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darryl Jenkins made a kick off. Ernie Pryor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Burr FC's Douglas Gagné played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Santos in the 58th minute of play. If Darryl Jenkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Burr FC's Ernie Pryor got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elisha Acosta in the 64th minute of play forced Maryfield AFC's goalkeeper Vincent Velazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elisha Acosta got free with Vincent Velazquez in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vincent Velazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elisha Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Elisha Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Douglas Gagné tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Darryl Jenkins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Douglas Gagné was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Burr FC booed when Maryfield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickie Snider didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernie Pryor took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vincent Velazquez. Vincent Velazquez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Ernie Pryors short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Vincent Velazquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 91 minutes of play Burr FC's Adrien Talon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Maryfield AFC booed when Burr FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrien Talon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes, Maryfield AFC's Carlton Griggs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Douglas Gagné came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maryfield AFC reached it. Darryl Jenkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Gagné having to interfere. The Maryfield AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Burr FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Burr FC.
