The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Nathan Parizeau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Greenspond FC defense, Rogelio MacDonald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dana Orr. The Greenspond FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dana Orr should have stopped the shot. Dana Orr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio MacDonald in the 12th minute of the match. Dana Orr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathon McFadden in the 13th minute of play. When Jeffry Quirion fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greenspond FC's protests and gave Jeffry Quirion a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute Jonathon McFadden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dana Orr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dana Orr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathon McFadden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Merlin Jamison got free with Claude English in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Pakan's zone, Constant Ménard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claude English came out of the goal and Constant Ménard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Constant Ménard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Greenspond FC's Joseph Chambers got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Jonathon McFadden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Micheal Pritchard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pakan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greenspond FC the free kick. If Rogelio MacDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pakan's Rogelio MacDonald got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Merlin Jamison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Constant Ménard made the kick off in the second half. Greenspond FC's Merlin Jamison got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constant Ménard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Nathan Parizeau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chase Doiron, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogelio MacDonald in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dana Orr saved Greenspond FC from getting behind. If Constant Ménard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathon McFadden who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Dana Orr when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rogelio MacDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dana Orr having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Jonathon McFadden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pakan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathon McFadden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nathan Parizeau fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greenspond FC's protests and gave Nathan Parizeau a yellow card for diving instead. Nathan Parizeau kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Rogelio MacDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constant Ménard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude English having to interfere. A collision led to Pakan getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Bradley Braxton hit a great ball. Simon Paquette took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claude English. Pakan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rogelio MacDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Dana Orr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pakan players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Greenspond FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
