Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) 4 minutes into the match, Raleigh Skinner notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Montreal Impact's Hiram Blake. Hiram Blake was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raleigh Skinner in the 9th minute of play forced Montreal Impact's goalkeeper Hiram Blake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Raleigh Skinner came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Peterbell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raleigh Skinner couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Peterbell booed when Montreal Impact was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvin Loomis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Reinaldo Devoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eddie Schulz might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dillon Blanton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eddie Schulz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Peterbell's Adrien Sprague got a free kick in the 19th minute. Eddie Schulz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Montreal Impact's zone, Burt Gervais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hiram Blake came out of the goal and Burt Gervais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Raleigh Skinner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hiram Blake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th play minute Demetrius Schwartz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dillon Blanton. 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, Eddie Schulz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dillon Blanton, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddie Schulz was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrius Schwartz in the 51st minute of play forced Peterbell's goalkeeper Dillon Blanton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Montreal Impact's Demetrius Schwartz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dillon Blanton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eddie Schulz in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dillon Blanton saved Peterbell from getting behind. The Montreal Impact fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Montreal Impact's Eddie Schulz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 61st minute, Montreal Impact's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Raleigh Skinner fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 62 minutes, Eddie Schulz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montreal Impact's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Schulz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peterbell's Dillon Blanton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie Schulz in the 66th minute of play. Dillon Blanton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Schulz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dillon Blanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Schulz in the 84th minute of play. Reinaldo Devoe kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Burl Lovett in the 87th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Dillon Blanton's left hand side. After 88 played minutes Peterbell got a freekick which was hit by Ken Primeau. In the 91st minute Eddie Schulz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dillon Blanton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddie Schulz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Demetrius Schwartz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montreal Impact's supporters crossed their fingers, but Demetrius Schwartz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Montreal Impact players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
