The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Amulet's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Schulz came free, but Antony Rubio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Montreal Impact's Eddie Schulz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antony Rubio. That made the score 0-1 after 57 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Montreal Impact's zone, Tristan Yang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hiram Blake came out of the goal and Tristan Yang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elvin Loomis's late challenge caught a Amulet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvin Loomis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Montreal Impact's Elvin Loomis got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Montreal Impact's goal looked a bit too open when Lynwood Friend came free, but Hiram Blake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amulet's Lynwood Friend got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Montreal Impact booed when Amulet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Kenney didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Demetrius Schwartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute.
