Hiram Blake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darrell Samuel in the 19th minute of the match. If Eddie Schulz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Montreal Impact defense, Darrell Samuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hiram Blake. The Montreal Impact fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hiram Blake should have stopped the shot. Ronald Goff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Schulz in the 43rd minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dusty Cannon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Montreal Impact were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
