After some careless play in the Leclercville defense, Lester Ryder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Austin Simon. The Leclercville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Austin Simon should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Al Laws in the 34th minute of play forced Leclercville's goalkeeper Austin Simon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Austin Simon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Laws in the 36th minute of the match. Al Laws sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sandwith FC booed when Leclercville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monty McCord didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Sandwith FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Austin Simon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sandwith FC's Al Laws was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 80th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 86 played minutes Sandwith FC got a freekick which was hit by Theo Laird. In the 87th minute, Gustave Spears sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sandwith FC's Jean Turgeon didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Leclercville's Austin Simon got control of the ball when Al Laws tried to sneak it across the goal line. Al Laws sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
