Newton Oliver acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 5th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Teddy Larivière. Newton Oliver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arden Dupre in the 9th minute of the match. In the 13thth minute of the game Bert Vogt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edgar FC's Rod Cooley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Newton Oliver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boyd Alvarado in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Darrell Wolf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moisie AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edgar FC the free kick. Darrell Wolf kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bert Vogt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rod Cooley was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Newton Oliver stood somewhat misplaced when Arden Dupre came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. Arden Dupre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Newton Oliver having to interfere. Newton Oliver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boyd Alvarado in the 33rd minute. Arden Dupre received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Newton Oliver came out and tried to block the shot, but Arden Dupre slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 40th minute. In the 44th minute, Moisie AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arden Dupre fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Darrell Wolf was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 46th match minute, Moisie AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darrell Wolf to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arden Dupre was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Arden Dupre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Newton Oliver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Boyd Alvarado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Newton Oliver was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Newton Oliver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyd Alvarado in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Moisie AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Boyd Alvarado came free, but Newton Oliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar FC's Boyd Alvarado got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Newton Oliver didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boyd Alvarado went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, Javier Boucher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Moisie AFC booed when Edgar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clint Soucy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 minutes, Gaspard McHugh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moisie AFC and the Edgar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaspard McHugh kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Arden Dupre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Newton Oliver having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Boyd Alvarado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Moisie AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bert Vogt hit a great ball. Boyd Alvarado took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Newton Oliver. Newton Oliver dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Moisie AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
