In the 7th minute, Al Laws ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kraig Pace was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Pascal Lockhart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, McClintock's goalkeeper Kraig Pace had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Al Laws. In the 13th minute, Sandwith FC's Lester Ryder ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kraig Pace. Kraig Pace yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 17thth minute of the game Edmund Wu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sandwith FC's Jean Turgeon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Al Laws received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Kraig Pace tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Lester Ryder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandwith FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lester Ryder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kraig Pace breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Theo Laird hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Al Laws could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Kraig Pace made a huge save. Sandwith FC's Jean Turgeon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Wu in the 29th minute of play. If Lester Ryder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Lester Ryder managed to get in a good position for a shot. After having played for 36 minutes, Al Laws managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandwith FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Al Laws was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Al Laws got free with Kraig Pace in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute Lester Ryder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kraig Pace saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Sandwith FC got a freekick which was hit by Daryl Robillard. In the 46th minute Edmund Wu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Turgeon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. McClintock's Kraig Pace proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save McClintock from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pascal Lockhart to strike the kick off in the second half. Kraig Pace showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Laws in the 55th minute of the match. McClintock's Kraig Pace played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lester Ryder in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lester Ryder in the 61st minute of play forced McClintock's goalkeeper Kraig Pace to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Al Laws got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, McClintock's goal looked a bit too open when Lester Ryder came free, but Kraig Pace reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes, Diodore Davis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the McClintock and the Sandwith FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, McClintock's Diodore Davis got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Daryl Robillard was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 78 played minutes Sandwith FC got a freekick which was hit by Iréné Forbes. After a defensive mix-up in Sandwith FC's zone, Edmund Wu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Turgeon came out of the goal and Edmund Wu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Al Laws received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kraig Pace tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kraig Pace didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Al Laws went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, McClintock's goal looked a bit too open when Al Laws came free, but Kraig Pace reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Turgeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascal Lockhart in the 95th minute of play. Sandwith FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
