After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Reynaud Huppé managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mississauga Warriors's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaud Huppé was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rod Cooley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute Reynaud Huppé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rod Cooley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rod Cooley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvatore Glenn went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Salvatore Glenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rod Cooley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvatore Glenn in the 26th minute of play. Boyd Alvarado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlton Wells having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Edgar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Salvatore Glenn came free, but Rod Cooley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes, Mississauga Warriors's Moises Rosas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rod Cooley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mississauga Warriors reached it. In the 38th minute, Neal Cooke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Javier Boucher during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlton Wells acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Willian Marcus. After the first half Mississauga Warriors were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaud Huppé to strike the kick off in the second half. If Reynaud Huppé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Mississauga Warriors were awarded a corner. Moises Rosas went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Salvatore Glenn drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Edgar FC's goalkeeper. Boyd Alvarado might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlton Wells. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boyd Alvarado ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute Arden Dupre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlton Wells saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaud Huppé struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rod Cooley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mississauga Warriors. Salvatore Glenn scored 0-3 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rod Cooley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th match minute, Edgar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Boucher to maneuver through the defense. Reynaud Huppé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rod Cooley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salvatore Glenn in the 84th minute. Rod Cooley was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Reynaud Huppé showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 87 minute of play. Rod Cooley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Floyd Langston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
