Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arden Dupre kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Geraldo Christian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whelan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edgar FC the free kick. If Arden Dupre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard Thomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arden Dupre in the 9th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, Whelan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas McCullough to maneuver through the defense. Gerard Thomas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boyd Alvarado's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Daren Crum hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Jewell got free with Rod Cooley in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerard Thomas came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Edgar FC's Boyd Alvarado. But to his dismay, Boyd Alvarado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Whelan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Edgar FC were winning 0-3.

Edgar FC's Boyd Alvarado got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boyd Alvarado succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 77th playminute. The supporters of Whelan booed when Edgar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lyle Murillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes, Whelan's Léonce Sawyer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rod Cooley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Whelan reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Javier Boucher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edgar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Boucher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerard Thomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Edgar FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
