Emory McNeal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Major Tabor took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jean Turgeon to make any attempt to save it. Paisley's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Tabor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Turgeon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Abdul Rodriquez fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paisley's protests and gave Abdul Rodriquez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sandwith FC booed when Paisley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdul Rodriquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Al Laws got free with Emory McNeal in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Al Laws got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lester Ryder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, one of Paisley:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paisley. Al Laws who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Emory McNeal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Al Laws fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emory McNeal having to interfere. Emory McNeal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lester Ryder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandwith FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
