Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Guy Scales made the kick off which started today's match. Monte Laberge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Lavallée having to interfere. Guy Scales struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Elliot Burke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nipigon FC. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Noranda:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nipigon FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, Nipigon FC's Carlton Bailey got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Elliot Burke. 21 minutes into the match, Noranda's goalkeeper Elliot Burke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Lespérance. In the 25th minute, Monte Laberge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 played minutes Noranda got a freekick which was hit by Blaine Emery. Nipigon FC's Antoine Lavallée played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monte Laberge in the 29th minute of play. Elliot Burke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Scales in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Angel Lespérance ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elliot Burke was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Nipigon FC booed when Noranda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trent Sloan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Noranda's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Scales came free, but Elliot Burke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roderick Wilhelm made a kick off. A collision led to Nipigon FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Olen Coker hit a great ball. Blaine Emery was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 60 played minutes Noranda got a freekick which was hit by Trent Sloan. In the 62nd minute of the match Carlton Bailey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elliot Burke skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Lespérance in the 65th minute of play forced Noranda's goalkeeper Elliot Burke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elliot Burke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthieu Charrette in the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Roderick Wilhelm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Noranda's supporters rose to their feet, but Roderick Wilhelm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoine Lavallée breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kyle Swan kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Noranda's Antoine Lavallée threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Shane Keith, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Noranda's Roderick Wilhelm in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nipigon FC's goalie prevented a goal. 94 minutes into the match, Noranda's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Scales came free, but Elliot Burke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nipigon FC had won after a very even match.
