Daryl Brunsons short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Darius Vincent to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dieppe's Clarence Slaughter got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Highgate AFC defense, Daryl Brunson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darius Vincent. The Highgate AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darius Vincent should have stopped the shot. Darius Vincent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clarence Slaughter, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Onesime Labossière had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute Winston McCullough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darius Vincent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Onesime Labossière came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Broderick Ritter could save by the left post. Curtis Hong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Highgate AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Clarence Slaughter came free, but Darius Vincent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 62 minutes, Daryl Brunson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dieppe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daryl Brunson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darius Vincent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clarence Slaughter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daryl Brunson took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darius Vincent. Darius Vincent dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Daryl Brunson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Darius Vincent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
