The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hai Haskins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guy Scales in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hai Haskins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Angel Lespérance who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Hai Haskins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Floyd Barker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Willet's supporters rose to their feet, but Floyd Barker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoine Lavallée breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Floyd Barker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antoine Lavallée having to make a save. In the 44th minute Floyd Barker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Lavallée saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as Floyd Barker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antoine Lavallée. That made the score 1-1 in the 53 minute of play. Antoine Lavallée made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Herrington in the 56th minute. Angel Lespérance sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willet's Hai Haskins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Lespérance in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Nipigon FC booed when Willet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelley Burgos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Lespérance received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Hai Haskins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hai Haskins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Lespérance in the 63rd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Willet:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nipigon FC:s goal. The referee gave Nipigon FC a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlton Bailey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Willet's Hai Haskins. 2-1. Guy Scales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hai Haskins having to interfere. Damian Herrington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Lavallée having to interfere. Antoine Lavallée showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Floyd Barker, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
