Damian Herrington might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arden Monroe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Herrington ran back to his position shaking his head. Shawn Kilgore hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, Willet's Alfredo Giroux shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arden Monroe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Willet reached it. Albert Reeves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Hai Haskins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arden Monroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Floyd Barker, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Floyd Barker to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Kangerthialuksoak's zone, Damian Herrington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arden Monroe came out of the goal and Damian Herrington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Albert Reeves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian Herrington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arden Monroe having to interfere. If Terrell Levine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
