Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Armand Hoover started the match with the kick off. Wally Grenier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armand Hoover in the 7th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Théophile Tipton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newdale AFC and the Nelson FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Théophile Tipton kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. If Sherman Contreras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Andreas L'Hiver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Reid Lara put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wally Grenier. With an all-out effort, Nelson FC's Preston Roy threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sherman Contreras, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armand Hoover in the 30th minute of play forced Nelson FC's goalkeeper Wally Grenier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Newdale AFC got a freekick which was hit by Courtney Benedict. Preston Roy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sherman Contreras in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Newdale AFC's Lanny Caldwell got a free kick in the 36th minute. A long shot from Kyle Melanson in the 38th minute of play was well struck, but Preston Roy made a really good save at the right post. 39 minutes into the game, Newdale AFC's Armand Hoover nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wally Grenier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reid Lara in the 44th minute of play forced Nelson FC's goalkeeper Wally Grenier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reid Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Grenier having to interfere.

If Reid Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reid Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Wally Grenier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Hugo Huber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Grenier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Armand Hoover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wally Grenier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armand Hoover, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Newdale AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
