Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christophe Lincoln kicked off to start the match. Brett Spence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Arlen Tatum came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Pennington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlen Tatum couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Rogelio Rodrigues put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Brett Spence. Ingonish FC's Brett Spence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlen Tatum in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Ingonish FC booed when Pennington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Stapleton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Gil Pichette sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pennington's Emerson Oneill didn't even have to move. In the 28th minute, Alberto Robinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Pennington's goal looked a bit too open when Christophe Lincoln came free, but Emerson Oneill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlen Tatum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Brett Spence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogelio Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Rogelio Rodrigues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brett Spence. Ingonish FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogelio Rodrigues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arlen Tatum to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Austin Conner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ingonish FC's Brett Spence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Ingonish FC from getting a goal against them. Rogelio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 minutes of play, Ingonish FC's Christophe Lincoln made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emerson Oneill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rogelio Rodrigues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Brett Spence made a huge save. Brett Spence stood somewhat misplaced when Arlen Tatum came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 74 minute. Brett Spence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlen Tatum, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. With a little luck, Ingonish FC's Brett Spence got control of the ball when Rogelio Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 91 minutes on the clock, Conrad Hawthorne commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pennington! Christophe Lincoln took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emerson Oneill. Emerson Oneill dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 100th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ingonish FC's goalkeeper Brett Spence, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
