In the 13th match minute, Ingonish FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keven Priest to maneuver through the defense. After 15 minutes, Deangelo Deslauriers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ingonish FC and the Moyie FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ellis Gendron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brett Spence having to make a save. After 23 played minutes Ingonish FC got a freekick which was hit by Keven Priest. After a defensive mix-up in Ingonish FC's zone, Douglas Ivey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brett Spence came out of the goal and Douglas Ivey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogelio Contreras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christophe Lincoln in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Ingonish FC booed when Moyie FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentine Vernon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Douglas Ivey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Laurence Hamby came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Ingonish FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurence Hamby couldn't finish the play. Brett Spence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ellis Gendron, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Moyie FC's Rogelio Contreras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Hamby in the 70th minute of play. With his leg Rogelio Contreras managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Ingonish FC's Laurence Hamby fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
