Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christophe Lincoln got the match started through his kick off. Ingonish FC's Christophe Lincoln got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Childress showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christophe Lincoln in the 16th minute of the match. Brett Spence was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mariano Crowell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. After 33 played minutes Mawer got a freekick which was hit by Florence Favreau. Edmundo Devine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Brett Spence made a huge save. Edmundo Devine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Brett Spence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Crowell to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Edmundo Devine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brett Spence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Ingonish FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Devine came free, but Brett Spence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Laurence Hamby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ingonish FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurence Hamby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Childress breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute Edmundo Devine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brett Spence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Crowell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Spence having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Ingonish FC got a freekick which was hit by John Odell. A collision led to Ingonish FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Keven Priest hit a great ball. If Laurence Hamby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurence Hamby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Childress having to interfere. Mawer's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
