Marquis Mallory received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Korey Laprise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Korey Laprise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Homer Brand, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Giuseppe Adams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lechia Gdansk's Blaise Lawson got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Korey Laprise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Homer Brand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Blaise Lawson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lechia Gdansk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blaise Lawson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Maynard Peterson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Lechia Gdansk getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Blaise Lawson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Homer Brand in the 40th minute of play forced Lechia Gdansk's goalkeeper Korey Laprise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Homer Brand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brancepeth FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Homer Brand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Myron Johnson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blaise Lawson to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquis Mallory got free with Korey Laprise in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Marquis Mallory got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Homer Brand came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Brancepeth FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Homer Brand couldn't finish the play. Lechia Gdansk's Korey Laprise proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Lechia Gdansk from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Marquis Mallory managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brancepeth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marquis Mallory was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Korey Laprise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 88 minutes, Myron Johnson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brancepeth FC's Quinn Sands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaise Lawson in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Adam Abel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Korey Laprise was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brancepeth FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
