The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Winisk's Bruce Babin got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Bryce McBride showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homer Brand in the 13th minute of the match. Bruce Babin kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Winisk's goal looked a bit too open when Homer Brand came free, but Bryce McBride reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bryce McBride stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Homer Brand's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. When Brancepeth FC's Homer Brand in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Winisk's goalie prevented a goal. Winisk's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Homer Brand scored to the left of an out of position Bryce McBride, making the score, 1-0. If Carl Ellis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quinn Sands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elijah Edwards, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Carl Ellis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winisk's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Ellis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quinn Sands breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quinn Sands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elijah Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elijah Edwards made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Winisk's Isidore Melvin got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Elijah Edwards received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Quinn Sands came out and tried to block the shot, but Elijah Edwards slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Marquis Mallory managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brancepeth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marquis Mallory was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryce McBride breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elijah Edwards recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Adams had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bryce McBride. Winisk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giuseppe Adams was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Elijah Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Baptiste Ali was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brancepeth FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winisk the free kick. Baptiste Ali kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Carl Ellis struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Quinn Sands didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winisk. Giuseppe Adams hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Brancepeth FC's Adam Abel got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Winisk's Elijah Edwards in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brancepeth FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elijah Edwards in the 97th minute of play forced Brancepeth FC's goalkeeper Quinn Sands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winisk's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
