Quinn Sands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Rush, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Homer Brand in the 12th minute of play forced Verona's goalkeeper Stanton Beard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brancepeth FC's Quinn Sands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russ Hampton in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, Verona's Stanton Beard got control of the ball when Marquis Mallory tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 24 played minutes Verona got a freekick which was hit by Martin Meza. 26 minutes into the game, Pablo Loyd was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brancepeth FC the free kick. Pablo Loyd kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The long shot by Basil Simard in the 27th minute really tested Stanton Beard's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 28th minute, Pablo Loyd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Verona's goal looked a bit too open when Homer Brand came free, but Stanton Beard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brancepeth FC's Quinn Sands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russ Hampton in the 34th minute of play. Kent Rush recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Moïse hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Brancepeth FC's Quinn Sands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Bray in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Homer Brand was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Absolon Bergeron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brancepeth FC the free kick. After 59 minutes of play Verona's Pablo Loyd was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Stanton Beard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homer Brand in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Verona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Rush to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Verona's goalkeeper Stanton Beard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marquis Mallory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanton Beard having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Meza during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Verona's Martin Meza got a free kick in the 65th minute. Stanton Beard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Homer Brand in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Marquis Mallory managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brancepeth FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marquis Mallory was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 71st minute when Homer Brand elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Verona's zone, Homer Brand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanton Beard came out of the goal and Homer Brand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rene Bray kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. If Kent Rush had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Brancepeth FC's zone, Martin Meza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quinn Sands came out of the goal and Martin Meza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quinn Sands made an important save on a dangerous shot by Russ Hampton in the 84th minute. Stanton Beard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquis Mallory in the 88th minute of the match.
