Lechia Gdansk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Myron Johnson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lechia Gdansk's supporters rose to their feet, but Myron Johnson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abe Whitfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melville's Abe Whitfield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Melville from getting a goal against them. Ryan Luke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Korey Laprise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benny Eubanks in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Korey Laprise saved Lechia Gdansk from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lechia Gdansk walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
