Verona's Truman Séguin suffered a fractured collar bone after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Jerold Beam fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lechia Gdansk's protests and gave Jerold Beam a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lechia Gdansk's Jerold Beam got a free kick in the 4th minute. Martin Meza charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Meza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Verona getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Martin Meza hit a great ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Pablo Loyd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lechia Gdansk's Korey Laprise was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Korey Laprise came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Verona's Kent Rush. But to his dismay, Kent Rush quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pablo Loyd charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pablo Loyd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Blaise Lawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Verona getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Pablo Loyd hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Lechia Gdansk's Blaise Lawson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Korey Laprise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Rush, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaise Lawson in the 34th minute of play forced Verona's goalkeeper Stanton Beard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramiro Frappier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Korey Laprise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kent Rush had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 44th minute of the match Pablo Loyd completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pablo Loyd a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Verona's Pablo Loyd got a free kick in the 44th minute. Stanton Beard had great luck who in the 47thth minute grab hold of the ball when Blaise Lawson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Martin Meza made the kick off in the second half. Korey Laprise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Britton in the 56th minute of the match. Myron Johnson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Blaise Lawson came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Lechia Gdansk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blaise Lawson couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute Blaise Lawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanton Beard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lechia Gdansk's Dana Chrétien got a free kick in the 74th minute. Martin Meza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Korey Laprise having to make a save. Lechia Gdansk's Korey Laprise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Britton in the 84th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Blaise Lawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanton Beard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Kent Rush got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Verona players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
