Spectators: 6743 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Homer Brand kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlie Chandonnet in the 2nd minute of play forced Brancepeth FC's goalkeeper Quinn Sands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlie Chandonnet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Quinn Sands tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quinn Sands came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Peakes's Chauncey Vincent. But to his dismay, Chauncey Vincent quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 13 played minutes Peakes got a freekick which was hit by Arlie Chandonnet. In the 14th minute, Rory Dowdy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marquis Mallory scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erin Babcock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arlie Chandonnet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quinn Sands having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Adam Abel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Brancepeth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arlie Chandonnet came free, but Quinn Sands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Robin Bédard fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peakes's protests and gave Robin Bédard a yellow card for diving instead. Peakes's Arlie Chandonnet got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Arlie Chandonnet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peakes's supporters rose to their feet, but Arlie Chandonnet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quinn Sands breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Peakes's zone, Homer Brand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erin Babcock came out of the goal and Homer Brand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Peakes getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Chauncey Vincent hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chauncey Vincent made a kick off. Chauncey Vincent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Quinn Sands tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlie Chandonnet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chauncey Vincent in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quinn Sands saved Brancepeth FC from getting behind. Peakes's Arlie Chandonnet got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quinn Sands came out of the goal and Arlie Chandonnet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quinn Sands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chauncey Vincent in the 74th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, one of Brancepeth FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Brancepeth FC defense, Rory Dowdy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quinn Sands. The Brancepeth FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quinn Sands should have stopped the shot. Quinn Sands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chauncey Vincent, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Chauncey Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 86 in the game by Arlie Chandonnet from a close distance when the talented Quinn Sands managed to make a qualified save. Brancepeth FC's players were relieved. In the 97th minute, Adam Abel had to leave the field with a concussion. Robin Bédard was shown his second yellow card after 98 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When the match was over Peakes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brancepeth FC throughout the match.
