Stanton Beard was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vincent Patel to make the kick off. Eric Blevins charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Jae Beaupré successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Michichi AFC's zone, Kent Rush stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jae Beaupré came out of the goal and Kent Rush tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Verona's Stanton Beard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Patel in the 86th minute of play. Kent Rush fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jae Beaupré having to interfere. When Edgard Raines fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Michichi AFC's protests and gave Edgard Raines a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Michichi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Raines. Martin Britton hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the match was over Verona could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Michichi AFC throughout the match.
