Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Homer Brand made the kick off which started today's match. Thanks to some nice moves Ryan Luke could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Quinn Sands however easily saved by the left post. Abe Whitfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Homer Brand, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Abe Whitfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homer Brand in the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to Brancepeth FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Basil Simard hit a great ball. Ryan Luke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brancepeth FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benny Eubanks 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The supporters of Melville booed when Brancepeth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Abel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Benny Eubanks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Homer Brand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Abe Whitfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ryan Luke came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Melville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Luke couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Adam Abel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Abe Whitfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benny Eubanks made a kick off. Quinn Sands came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Melville's Ryan Luke. But to his dismay, Ryan Luke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 59th minute, Urbain Siegel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes Melville's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Basil Simard who took care of the corner kick. After 66 played minutes Melville got a freekick which was hit by Christophe Whitten. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Marquis Mallory got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Brancepeth FC's zone, Benny Eubanks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quinn Sands came out of the goal and Benny Eubanks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Benny Eubanks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Quinn Sands was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Abe Whitfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homer Brand in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Melville fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brancepeth FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
