Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) Trinity AFC's Brandon Esposito started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Eli Gustafson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brandon Esposito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Johns having to interfere. Brandon Esposito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eli Gustafson in the 21st minute of play forced Roberval's goalkeeper Werner Johns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Werner Johns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Esposito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Eli Gustafson came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Trinity AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eli Gustafson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Roberval's Alphonse Chandonnet got a free kick in the 40th minute. The supporters of Trinity AFC booed when Roberval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Veronneau didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Brandon Esposito, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 47 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Werner Johns was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilson Newman to make the kick off. Edmund Flowers came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Roberval's Wilson Newman. But to his dismay, Wilson Newman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Eli Gustafson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 65th playminute. Werner Johns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Esposito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Brandon Esposito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Johns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carl Mosher hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Wilson Newman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Genaro Redding fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trinity AFC's protests and gave Genaro Redding a yellow card for diving instead. Roberval's Léon Presley got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frances Dagenais charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frances Dagenais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Trinity AFC's Frances Dagenais got a free kick in the 87th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léon Presley in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmund Flowers saved Trinity AFC from getting behind. Edmund Flowers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilson Newman's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Trinity AFC's Brandon Esposito got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Werner Johns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brandon Esposito's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Eli Gustafson's late challenge caught a Roberval's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eli Gustafson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Trinity AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eli Gustafson to maneuver through the defense. The Trinity AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Roberval from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
