Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilson Villarreal ran back to his position shaking his head. Grady Nunn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stacy Richmond having to interfere. In the 13th minute Solomon Mobley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Richmond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grady Nunn scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stacy Richmond, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19thth minute of the game Solomon Mobley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atherley's Stacy Richmond was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Loic Stroud hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Evan Dufour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Wilson Villarreal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Forestville AFC's Pierre Early proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Forestville AFC from getting a goal against them. Grady Nunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Stacy Richmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evan Dufour was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rocco Briggs during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Rocco Briggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Solomon Mobley to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Forestville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Villarreal. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Camille Binet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atherley's supporters rose to their feet, but Camille Binet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre Early breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atherley's Camille Binet got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Atherley's Camille Binet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pierre Early narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Atherley. Loic Leclerc stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pierre Early. 1-1. Atherley's Camille Binet got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rocco Briggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Forestville AFC's Grady Nunn got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evan Dufour made a great header on Atherley's corner, it was just that Forestville AFC's Pierre Early managed to reach the ball for a save. Pierre Early stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camille Binet's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Grady Nunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 85 played minutes Atherley got a freekick which was hit by Dusty Coon. Atherley's Stacy Richmond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Atherley from getting a goal against them. If Grady Nunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Loic Leclerc hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atherley fans cheered their team off the field, for while Forestville AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
