Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teodoro Houston kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Eastern's zone, Garrett Giguère stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Myles L'Heureux came out of the goal and Garrett Giguère tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8thth minute of the game Garrett Giguère who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eastern's Myles L'Heureux was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, Derek Lincoln got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute, Garrett Giguère fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Myles L'Heureux, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Eastern booed when Smithville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garrett Giguère didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grady West received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Lavern Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lavern Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Houston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Smithville got a freekick which was hit by Arden Rousseau. In the 21st minute, Grady West made a precise shot to the right of Lavern Rutherford. Smithville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Roland Davies fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smithville's protests and gave Roland Davies a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Smithville's Roland Davies got a free kick in the 31st minute. Grady West received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Lavern Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Derek Lincoln got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eastern's Myles L'Heureux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garrett Giguère in the 38th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garrett Giguère in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Myles L'Heureux prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Garrett Giguère had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54thth minute of the game Derek Lincoln who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eastern's Myles L'Heureux was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Derek Lincoln put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Myles L'Heureux. Myles L'Heureux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek Lincoln in the 57th minute of play. If Teodoro Houston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 played minutes Smithville got a freekick which was hit by Roland Davies. When Eastern's Teodoro Houston in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 75th minute, one of Smithville:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Smithville. Jody Hilliard shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Houston in the 79th minute of play forced Smithville's goalkeeper Lavern Rutherford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grady West received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Lavern Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Smithville's Lavern Rutherford got control of the ball when Grady West tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dewitt Myrick charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dewitt Myrick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dewitt Myrick kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grady West got free with Lavern Rutherford in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Eastern walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
