Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) Helston AFC's Salvador Elliott started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Léon Presley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mose Andersen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Newman in the 6th minute of play forced Helston AFC's goalkeeper Mose Andersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Roberval's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Elliott came free, but Werner Johns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helston AFC's Mose Andersen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Newman in the 13th minute of play. If Salvador Elliott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Roberval getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jorge Kellogg hit a great ball. Léon Presley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Helston AFC's Robert Larocque got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Mose Andersen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Newman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Léon Presley came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Roberval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léon Presley couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harvey Kim during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Roberval booed when Helston AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harvey Kim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Werner Johns stood somewhat misplaced when Salvador Elliott came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. Lester Devine hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes, Lester Devine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roberval and the Helston AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lester Devine kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Salvador Elliott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Johns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Vicente Pouchard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Werner Johns was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilson Newman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilson Newman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberval's Léon Presley got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mose Andersen made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Léon Presley sent off a good shot on target. Wilson Newman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mose Andersen having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Salvador Elliott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helston AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Elliott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th match minute, Roberval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alphonse Chandonnet to maneuver through the defense. Helston AFC's Harvey Kim got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered Harvey Kim off the ground. After 68 played minutes Helston AFC got a freekick which was hit by Harvey Kim. In the 70th minute of the match Roberval got a corner. Helston AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Kellogg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ezequiel Clifford tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Mose Andersen. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 71st minute. In the 75th minute Vicente Pouchard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Johns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, Helston AFC's Ned Geiger made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Werner Johns was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wilson Newman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mose Andersen having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Roberval's zone, Vicente Pouchard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Johns came out of the goal and Vicente Pouchard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Pouchard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Werner Johns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Helston AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Newman came free, but Mose Andersen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Léon Presley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Vicente Pouchard notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Roberval's Werner Johns. Werner Johns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Roberval players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Helston AFC.
