With a little luck, McConnel's Gilbert Raines got control of the ball when Eli Gustafson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Craig Bériault kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Gilbert Raines acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 11th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Morton Solomon. Erwin Noel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trinity AFC's Edmund Flowers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Noel in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Carl Mosher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trinity AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave McConnel the free kick. Carl Mosher hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. McConnel's Erwin Noel got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmund Flowers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthieu Stahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Erwin Noel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Flowers having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Trinity AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Mosher to maneuver through the defense. Eli Gustafson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gilbert Raines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in McConnel's zone, Brandon Esposito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Raines came out of the goal and Brandon Esposito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matthieu Stahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Flowers having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Frances Dagenais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eli Gustafson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Gilbert Raines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erwin Noel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eli Gustafson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Gilbert Raines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, McConnel's Kevin Madrid got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Brandon Esposito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Matthieu Stahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erwin Noel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Trinity AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Philbert Siegel hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, McConnel's Erwin Noel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. After having played for 83 minutes, Erwin Noel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. McConnel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erwin Noel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eli Gustafson struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Gilbert Raines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trinity AFC. If Eli Gustafson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes, Hector Paige mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trinity AFC and the McConnel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hector Paige kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. McConnel's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
