Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Atherley's Evan Dufour started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Grady West had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clemente Cordero kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute Teodoro Houston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Richmond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stacy Richmond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sid Irizarry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grady West fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stacy Richmond having to interfere. If Evan Dufour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sid Irizarry fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eastern's protests and gave Sid Irizarry a yellow card for diving instead. Sid Irizarry hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Clemente Cordero struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Myles L'Heureux didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atherley. In the 26th match minute, Eastern was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sid Irizarry to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Evan Dufour fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Myles L'Heureux, passed just outside the right post. Stacy Richmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Houston in the 34th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Teodoro Houston made the kick off in the second half. Myles L'Heureux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camille Binet in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd match minute, Eastern was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dewitt Myrick to maneuver through the defense. Atherley's Camille Binet got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evan Dufour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Myles L'Heureux read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Atherley's Lamar Lentz suffered a fractured collar bone after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 60 minutes, Dewitt Myrick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eastern and the Atherley players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Eastern was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dewitt Myrick to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Teodoro Houston left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eastern fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Camille Binet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Myles L'Heureux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camille Binet in the 94th minute of play forced Eastern's goalkeeper Myles L'Heureux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
