Spectators: 6737 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miquel Eason started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Borden FC booed when Neptune was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alain Brochu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes Miquel Eason could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miquel Eason in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Randell Coulombe saved Neptune from getting behind. Borden FC's Coy King got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dwain Létourneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucien Perdue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miquel Eason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Coulombe having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Miquel Eason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rene Rowland hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Borden FC's Corey Faubert tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Lucien Perdue managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neptune's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucien Perdue was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dwain Létourneau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brock Kearney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miquel Eason struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Randell Coulombe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borden FC. The supporters of Neptune booed when Borden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Youngblood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucien Perdue was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brock Kearney got free with Dwain Létourneau in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmer Barker during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brock Kearney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Dwain Létourneau made a huge save. Gerardo Kay hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Lucien Perdue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwain Létourneau having to interfere. Brock Kearney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Dwain Létourneau made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Borden FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Neptune:s goal. Baptiste Lowry placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 78 played minutes Borden FC got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Hawkins. Lucien Perdue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dwain Létourneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucien Perdue's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dwain Létourneau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Randell Coulombe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prosper Carignan went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
