If Marco Proulx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Montmartre AFC's goalkeeper Irving Houde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeffry Yazzie. Irving Houde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeffry Yazzie in the 22nd minute. Irving Houde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Buster McDaniel in the 24th minute of the match. Buster McDaniel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Jeffry Yazzie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Irving Houde was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 32 played minutes Piquitonay FC got a freekick which was hit by Irvin Epperson. Jeffry Yazzie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Irving Houde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Montmartre AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Piquitonay FC:s goal. In the 44th minute, Piquitonay FC's Buster McDaniel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Irving Houde. Irving Houde yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. August Paulet hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Hodges to make the kick off. Mario Stiles's late challenge caught a Piquitonay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Stiles helped the player get up and apologised. Jeffry Yazzie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Irving Houde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Proulx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nestor Despins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Collin Loomis kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Raphael Hodges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 87 minutes, Marco Proulx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montmartre AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Proulx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nestor Despins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Proulx went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. When Buster McDaniel came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Piquitonay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Buster McDaniel couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 98 in the game by Marco Proulx from a close distance when the talented Nestor Despins managed to make a qualified save. Piquitonay FC's players were relieved.
