Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Millard Haines took the kick off in the first half of the match. Borden FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Millard Haines scored to the left of an out of position Dwain Létourneau, making the score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Millard Haines in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dwain Létourneau saved Borden FC from getting behind. Millard Haines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Coy King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maria Handy having to interfere. Sanford Rader had several of the Borden FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Dwain Létourneau as he didn't even see the shot coming. Maria Handy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coy King, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Miquel Eason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coy King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maria Handy having to interfere. Sanford Rader who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Dwain Létourneau when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Sydney Irizarry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miquel Eason made a kick off. Maria Handy made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Coy King sent off a good shot on target. If Millard Haines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes of play, Bayfield's Sanford Rader made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dwain Létourneau was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sanford Rader sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Bayfield's Sanford Rader sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dwain Létourneau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sanford Rader recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Borden FC's Miquel Eason sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maria Handy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dwain Létourneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Millard Haines in the 73rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Constantin Hawkins during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute Sanford Rader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwain Létourneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Borden FC's Maria Handy threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miquel Eason, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Coy King's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Maria Handy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Millard Haines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwain Létourneau having to interfere. If Millard Haines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Sanford Rader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwain Létourneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bayfield's Millard Haines in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borden FC's goalie prevented a goal. Borden FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
