The audience thought a goal was coming when Brock Kearney got free with Maria Handy in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bayfield's Maria Handy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien Perdue in the 9th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Lucien Perdue managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neptune's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucien Perdue was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sanford Rader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Hart hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Brock Kearney succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Sanford Rader blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Randell Coulombe having to make a save. Sanford Rader sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Neptune's Lucien Perdue sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maria Handy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Neptune defense, Sanford Rader kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Randell Coulombe. The Neptune fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Randell Coulombe should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Millard Haines was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bayfield's Branden Beal got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Baptiste Lowry sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bayfield's Maria Handy didn't even have to move. Sanford Rader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Coulombe having to interfere. Normand Aguilera kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, one of Bayfield:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Maria Handy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucien Perdue went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Lucien Perdue kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Brock Kearney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Neptune's Randell Coulombe got control of the ball when Sanford Rader tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Neptune had won after a very even match.
