Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) McGillivray AFC's Jere Kohler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clark Blalock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miquel Eason in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Jere Kohler managed to get in a good position for a shot. McGillivray AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jere Kohler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dwain Létourneau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clark Blalock came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Borden FC's Miquel Eason. But to his dismay, Miquel Eason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Borden FC's Coy King got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Borden FC's Miquel Eason in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye McGillivray AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After 21 minutes of play, Borden FC's Coy King made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clark Blalock was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 24 played minutes McGillivray AFC got a freekick which was hit by Riley Starr. The supporters of Borden FC booed when McGillivray AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jere Kohler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miquel Eason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clark Blalock having to interfere. The supporters of McGillivray AFC booed when Borden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corey Faubert didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to McGillivray AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Logan Simmons hit a great ball. Jere Kohler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwain Létourneau having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miquel Eason made a kick off. Logan Simmons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coy King struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Clark Blalock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borden FC. In the 56th minute Miquel Eason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clark Blalock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borden FC's Dwain Létourneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Gilliam in the 59th minute of play. Santiago Gilliam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dwain Létourneau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, McGillivray AFC's Jere Kohler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dwain Létourneau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st match minute, McGillivray AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Gates to maneuver through the defense. Corey Faubert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clark Blalock came out and tried to block the shot, but Corey Faubert slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 72nd minute. When McGillivray AFC's Logan Simmons in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borden FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind McGillivray AFC's goalkeeper Clark Blalock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santiago Gilliam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwain Létourneau having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Jere Kohler notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Borden FC's Dwain Létourneau. Dwain Létourneau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Coy King received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Clark Blalock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Borden FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Borden FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
