The audience was convinced that Dick Dennis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Despins was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Irvin Epperson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Nestor Despins made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Tracey Bourgeau sent off a good shot on target. The referee gave Piquitonay FC a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Casey Grandbois, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mayne's Homer Paré. 0-1. Buster McDaniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jeffry Yazzie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Piquitonay FC's Buster McDaniel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Homer Paré narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dick Dennis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Despins having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buster McDaniel in the 43rd minute of play forced Mayne's goalkeeper Homer Paré to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristofer Howard kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dick Dennis to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Mayne's goal looked a bit too open when Buster McDaniel came free, but Homer Paré reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buster McDaniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Homer Paré having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Mayne's Dick Dennis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nestor Despins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 61 minutes into the match, Piquitonay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dick Dennis came free, but Nestor Despins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tracey Bourgeau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Despins having to make a save. 66 minutes into the match, Mayne's Darrick Schaefer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Despins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Mayne got a freekick which was hit by Jarvis LondeLalonde. Jeffry Yazzie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Homer Paré made a huge save. Tracey Bourgeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Despins having to interfere. Lambert Tharp kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Dick Dennis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Buster McDaniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Homer Paré made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Collin Loomis in the 85th minute of play. Homer Paré showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Buster McDaniel in the 89th minute of the match. Jeffry Yazzie struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Homer Paré didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piquitonay FC. For all the effort they put into the match, the Piquitonay FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mayne.
