When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Hosea Allen sped through Dover's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paul Leach. 28 minutes into the match, Dover's Dallas Belcher broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brice Peachey in the 30th minute of play forced Pilger's goalkeeper Kristofer Duffy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herbert Harris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristofer Duffy having to interfere. Kristofer Duffy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brice Peachey, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Kristofer Duffy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Harris in the 35th minute of play. Kristofer Duffy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Harris in the 37th minute of the match. If Herbert Harris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pilger's Kristofer Duffy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brice Peachey in the 40th minute of play. Kristofer Duffy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hosea Allen made a kick off. Kristofer Duffy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Harris in the 54th minute of play. If Brice Peachey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hosea Allen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Leach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hosea Allen, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Kristofer Duffy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brice Peachey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Gougeon struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Paul Leach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pilger. In the 67th minute Hosea Allen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Leach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kelly Vance charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. John Gougeon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Dover players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Pilger from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
