Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sherman Engle started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Toronto Thunder-Birds booed when Pilger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Gougeon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristofer Duffy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sherman Engle went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Gougeon got free with Antonio Ferland in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sherman Engle in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristofer Duffy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sherman Engle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shaun Maheu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Shaun Maheu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toronto Thunder-Birds's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pilger the free kick. In the 21st minute, Shaun Maheu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Toronto Thunder-Birds's Antonio Ferland got control of the ball when Francis Dubé tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francis Dubé took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Ferland. Antonio Ferland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 27th match minute, Pilger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francis Dubé to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Christophe Summers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kristofer Duffy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pilger's Kristofer Duffy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connie Hughes in the 36th minute of play. Shaun Maheu struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Kristofer Duffy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto Thunder-Birds. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sherman Engle in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristofer Duffy saved Pilger from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sherman Engle in the 44th minute of play forced Pilger's goalkeeper Kristofer Duffy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 minutes, Sherman Engle made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Pilger's Kristofer Duffy tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Toronto Thunder-Birds's Shaun Maheu got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Shaun Maheu off the ground. Shaun Maheu kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Antonio Ferland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hosea Allen in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Pilger's Hosea Allen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Ferland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. 62 minutes into the match, Toronto Thunder-Birds's Sherman Engle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristofer Duffy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Connie Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Rafael Edmondson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christophe Summers got free with Kristofer Duffy in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonio Ferland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hosea Allen, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pilger's zone, Christophe Summers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristofer Duffy came out of the goal and Christophe Summers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pilger's Kristofer Duffy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Pilger from getting a goal against them. After having played for 74 minutes, Theo Barrow managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto Thunder-Birds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theo Barrow was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sherman Engle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toronto Thunder-Birds's supporters rose to their feet, but Sherman Engle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristofer Duffy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Connie Hughes might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristofer Duffy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Connie Hughes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sherman Engle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Pilger got a freekick which was hit by Vern Dufure. If Connie Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toronto Thunder-Birds's Sherman Engle got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sherman Engle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Sherman Engle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sherman Engle struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Kristofer Duffy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto Thunder-Birds. In the 94th minute Sherman Engle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristofer Duffy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pilger's Kristofer Duffy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Pilger from getting a goal against them. Pilger succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Toronto Thunder-Birds had controlled the match.
