Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sherman Engle started the match with the kick off. Judson Laliberté took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Ferland. Antonio Ferland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 6th match minute, Heaslip AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Vachon to maneuver through the defense. Connie Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seth Dodge having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Connie Hughes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Seth Dodge. Heaslip AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Connie Hughes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Heaslip AFC's Seth Dodge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sherman Engle in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Toronto Thunder-Birds's Theo Barrow ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Seth Dodge. Seth Dodge yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Shaun Maheu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Seth Dodge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Judson Laliberté in the 25th minute of play forced Toronto Thunder-Birds's goalkeeper Antonio Ferland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seth Dodge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christophe Summers went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. When Connie Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Toronto Thunder-Birds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Connie Hughes couldn't finish the play. Connie Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sherman Engle struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Seth Dodge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto Thunder-Birds. Sherman Engle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Seth Dodge when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Connie Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seth Dodge having to interfere. Antonio Ferland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Judson Laliberté in the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Heaslip AFC's zone, Connie Hughes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seth Dodge came out of the goal and Connie Hughes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Judson Laliberté made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Sherman Engle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Seth Dodge was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Antonio Ferland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Judson Laliberté, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th match minute, Toronto Thunder-Birds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun Maheu to maneuver through the defense. Seth Dodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sherman Engle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Ken Caron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Lauren McDermott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sherman Engle in the 65th minute of play forced Heaslip AFC's goalkeeper Seth Dodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sherman Engle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Toronto Thunder-Birds booed when Heaslip AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colombe Villeneuve didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sherman Engle fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toronto Thunder-Birds's protests and gave Sherman Engle a yellow card for diving instead. Sherman Engle hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Shaun Maheu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seth Dodge having to interfere. Hershel Sawyer took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Seth Dodge. Seth Dodge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After some careless play in the Heaslip AFC defense, Shaun Maheu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Seth Dodge. The Heaslip AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Seth Dodge should have stopped the shot. Connie Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Seth Dodge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Toronto Thunder-Birds players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
