The supporters of Moyie booed when Toronto Thunder-Birds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmitt Ennis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Ferland came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Moyie's Loup Hardin. But to his dismay, Loup Hardin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Moyie's Vespasien Greenberg got a free kick in the 18th minute. Christophe Summers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jérémie Braden having to interfere. When Theo Barrow came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Toronto Thunder-Birds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo Barrow couldn't finish the play. Barrett Bourgeois kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. When Sherman Engle came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Toronto Thunder-Birds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sherman Engle couldn't finish the play. Sherman Engle struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jérémie Braden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto Thunder-Birds. Toronto Thunder-Birds's Connie Hughes got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sherman Engle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Moyie's Laverne Beck got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Moyie fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Christophe Summers shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 55th minute, Sherman Engle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toronto Thunder-Birds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jérémie Braden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sherman Engle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Toronto Thunder-Birds booed when Moyie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrett Bourgeois didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Connie Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toronto Thunder-Birds's Shaun Maheu got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 68th minute of the match Laverne Beck completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Laverne Beck a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 77th minute, Toronto Thunder-Birds's Christophe Summers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Shaun Maheu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jérémie Braden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sherman Engle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jérémie Braden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. If Shaun Maheu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
