Clemente Mayo didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 15th minute. Lucerne's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The supporters of Pilger booed when Lucerne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikel Edmondson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lucerne's zone, John Gougeon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dwain Eaton came out of the goal and John Gougeon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Lucerne's Mikel Edmondson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristofer Duffy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikel Edmondson in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristofer Duffy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Pilger's goal looked a bit too open when Mikel Edmondson came free, but Kristofer Duffy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Lucerne's goal looked a bit too open when Hosea Allen came free, but Dwain Eaton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
