In the 6th minute, Julien Clavet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Massey fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Massey's Marius Berthelette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musko Amenabar in the 10th minute of play. When Wade Franks fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Massey's protests and gave Wade Franks a yellow card for diving instead. Wade Franks kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Alejandro Cole made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julien Clavet in the 20th minute of play. Alejandro Cole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julien Clavet in the 22nd minute of the match. Wade Franks kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Denílson Figueiredo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Marius Berthelette when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Wallace Mobley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Massey's goal looked a bit too open when Musko Amenabar came free, but Marius Berthelette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marius Berthelette made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Denílson Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamison Savoie in the 30th minute of play forced Quebec Capitales's goalkeeper Alejandro Cole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winfred Colbert lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 31st minute, one of Quebec Capitales:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quebec Capitales. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Wallace Mobley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebec Capitales's supporters rose to their feet, but Wallace Mobley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Berthelette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Wade Franks was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. Wade Franks kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Marius Berthelette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Musko Amenabar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Massey booed when Quebec Capitales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Musko Amenabar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 52nd minute, Bertrand Dahl made a precise shot to the right of Alejandro Cole. Quebec Capitales's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Jamison Savoie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Quebec Capitales's Musko Amenabar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marius Berthelette narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jamison Savoie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Musko Amenabar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Wallace Mobley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Marius Berthelette was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Musko Amenabar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marius Berthelette having to make a save. Marius Berthelette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Musko Amenabar, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Quebec Capitales getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Rubin Funk hit a great ball. Marius Berthelette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Musko Amenabar in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Quebec Capitales's Wallace Mobley got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Massey supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Massey would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
